Background
QUNO particularly follows the work of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO). This programme works to harmonise the impact of trade on the equitable and sustainable use of resources and the impact of trade on labour standards and conditions. QUNO organises seminars for government delegates, NGOs, corporations and WTO, ILO and IMF staff. One recent seminar addressed TRIPS Article 27.3(b) and developing countries negotiating capacities and requirements for national legislation. Another seminar focused on international labour standards and their relevance for multilateral agencies cialis 20mg and private voluntary initiatives.
QUNO also collaborates with Quaker programmes in developing countries, especially to facilitate dialogue and exchanges between work in multilateral agencies, community and national level efforts to promote labour standards, especially for women in export industries. |
